As peace makers let us receive the blessing that our hearts may be awakened to compassion for animals. With our sacred intention, we may open human hearts to end greed, ignorance and selfishness at the expense of animal lives.

Humankind has grown evermore obsessed by our daily preoccupations and selfishness, and as a result animals suffer. Our entitlement and expectation of convenience has led us to close ourselves off from the experiences of our companions and cohabitants. We neither see nor feel their power and capacity for love. Their joy and their need for care and affection mirrors our own, but instead of empathizing, we neglect and exploit them. We must reopen our hearts and reawaken our passionate connection with our animal friends.
